Kabila is named after the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, who was elected at the end of 2006 in our country’s first free and fair elections since 1960. The elections were also only the 2nd time we have ever voted for our leader.

Kabila, last time we saw him, was a typical punky baby gorilla. When babies are born their hair is sort of spikey and they have this wide-eyed look that people find amusing and cute!
